20090403 Kresge Bazaar (construction) : Construction is ongoing at the Kresge Building - three floors of bazaar space is being finished off. The location is in the heart of downtown Detroit at the intersection of Woodward and State, just one block north of Campus Maritus. The space is a development from the same people that have Russell Industrial Center and the Russell Bazaar.

20081206 Mercury Coffee Bar : Located at 2163 Michigan Ave, Detroit 48209. I stopped in for my first visit and had a panino (pesto, roasted peppers, and mozarella) with capucino. The bar is bright and clean with friendly staff. There is a downstairs sitting area as well which could accomodate a meeting of up to 25 people, and it appears to have a coffee bar and possibly second kitchen as well. The unisex restroom is downstairs.

On the bus : The bus is my primary mode of transportation. I have no car. I do have a bicycle, which I can load on SMART buses. DDOT still doesn't have bike racks and won't permit them on the bus. Even though I'm carrying my camera often on the bus I don't pull it out and snap photos too often.

Photovoice on HEP-CATCH : These photos are part of the HEP-CATCH program begin ran through the Photovoice project. HEP-CATCH is the Healthy Environments Ppartnership - Community Approaches To Cardiovascular Health in Detroit.This program is seeking youths age 14-18 to be in a six week program from July-August.
